Our organization is seeking a skilled Radio Frequency Engineer to join our team in Melbourne or other locations. This role involves designing and developing RF systems and equipment, working within an Antenna IPT team, to achieve required RF performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Derive, analyze, document, and manage RF system/equipment requirements;
* Develop simple RF system/equipment designs to meet established set of requirements;
* Undertake functional and circuit analysis to determine strengths and weaknesses of candidate RF system/equipment solutions;
* Integrate and validate RF system/equipment design, contributing to integration and validation plans and reports;
* Work with a cross-functional engineering team to assemble and test prototype hardware and test support systems;
* Make engineering decisions within own sphere of responsibility and delegated authority;
* Contribute to team planning, risk management, product safety, quality, and Safety, Health & Environment (SHE).
We offer flexible work arrangements, such as 9-day fortnight and hybrid working. Our ideal candidate will have a degree in an Engineering discipline or similar, demonstrated experience in RF engineering, and proficiency in tools like Altair Feko, Ansys HFSS.
Requirements
* A degree in an Engineering discipline or similar;
* Demonstrated experience in RF engineering;
* Experience developing simple RF equipment designs, participating in design reviews, and undertaking typical design analyses;
* Proficiency in tools like Altair Feko, Ansys HFSS;
* Test and measurement skills using vector network analyzers and standard test equipment;
* Ability to travel between locations and undertake site works;
* Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain; and
* Eligibility for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations.
