About the Opportunity
The role is a temporary full-time role with a possibility of extension.
It is a senior clinical role working directly with young children and their carers in the community health setting. You will work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues.
The successful applicant will be able to work independently and responsibly while also working well within a supportive and positive team environment. Passionate about working with children in the community and improving their health outcomes and wellbeing. Also keen to use their experience and knowledge to help with ongoing progression of the team and service and provide support and supervision to other physiotherapy and allied health colleagues.
What You'll be Doing
This position is responsible for providing high quality physiotherapy services. This includes service development and evaluation and advanced reasoning and clinical practice skills in the management of clients of a novel or complex nature. This position is responsible for the supervision, teaching and training of Level 1-2 Physiotherapists, AHAs and students.

SWSLHD Primary & Community Health provides a comprehensive range of community-based services designed to improve and maintain the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities across South Western Sydney.
These services include prevention, early intervention, assessment, acute and post-acute treatment, health maintenance, and continuing care. The team supports diverse populations, offering specialised programs for children, young people, older adults, and at-risk communities.
With over 800 dedicated staff, including Aboriginal Health Workers, nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals, the service ensures high-quality care close to where people live.

1. Current Physiotherapy Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
2. Extensive clinical experience in paediatric physiotherapy within a community health setting, including the ability to manage complex caseloads and deliver developmentally appropriate, family-centred care across diverse environments.
3. Demonstrated experience and commitment to professional development, evidence-based practice, and the supervision of staff and/or students, with the ability to foster clinical learning and contribute to team capability.
4. Proven commitment to quality improvement, service delivery initiatives, and the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of paediatric physiotherapy services, with evidence of contributing to enhanced outcomes for children and families.
5. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
