The primary purpose of this role is to provide assistance in the kitchen, preparing food, and keeping the kitchen area clean and compliant with food safety requirements.
This position involves working on a permanent part-time contract of 14 hours per fortnight, with availability between 4:00pm and 7:30pm on Saturdays and Sundays essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing and presenting breakfast, lunch and dinner in accordance with resident requirements/preferences
* Providing kitchen hand services at the facility such as modifying food texture and apportioning food accurately
* Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen areas and equipment
* Consistently applying Safe Food Handling Practices
* Safely using equipment and PPE
* Adhering to Occupational Health and Safety requirements
Requirements:
Successful candidates must have valid work rights in Australia, previous experience in commercial cooking and cleaning, safe food handling practice and hygiene standards, good written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of relevant chemicals and safe handling practices, and excellent organizational and time management skills.
