About the Opportunity
Central Australian Women's Legal Service (CAWLS) is looking for a full-time Integrated Community Justice Partnerships – Team Lead based in Alice Springs, NT.
This new leadership role reports to both the Senior Management Team and Manager of Education Policy.
It focuses on delivering remote outreach programs and community-led education initiatives aimed at reducing domestic, family, and sexual violence and improving access to justice for women.
Responsibilities
Engaging with local communities and services to co-design outreach programs
Coordinating delivery of services and managing ongoing relationships
Overseeing data collection and contributing to grant reporting
Delivering community education on DFSV in remote settings
Coordinating the planning and delivery of remote community outreach activities
Leading a multidisciplinary team and supporting integrated justice responses
Collaborating across CAWLS to improve service delivery in underserved areas
Planning, facilitating and evaluating outreach and education activities
Travelling regularly to communities across Central Australia and Barkly region
About You
To qualify, you will need qualifications in Social Work, Human Services, Community Development, or a related field, and/or experience in delivering community education, particularly in domestic, family, and sexual violence (DFSV).
Key Skills and Experience
Community development experience and facilitation skills
Strong understanding of DFSV and its impacts in remote communities
Experience coordinating programs, teams, or grants
Cultural awareness and ability to engage with Aboriginal communities
Ability to work autonomously, as well as collaboratively in a team
Well-developed communication, time management, and organisational skills
High level of computer literacy and data/report writing capability
NT Driver's Licence, or ability to obtain one
NT Ochre Card and National Police Check, or ability to obtain both
Highly valued qualifications and experience (post-admission legal practice, community legal centre work, community development training, DFSV training, First Nations or CALD community work)
