About the role
Mater Private Hospital Townsville is currently seeking experienced Anaesthetics and Recovery Nurses to join our Perioperative Services team. We welcome applications from both Enrolled and Registered Nurses. We offer flexible employment options, including Permanent, Part-Time, Full-Time, or Casual roles— choose what suits your lifestyle. Shifts are from 6:15AM to 6:00PM at our Pimlico campus.
The Perioperative Services department at MPHT provides surgical services across 16 theatres, catering to adults and children with various surgical specialties. Our facility features state-of-the-art theatres, a catheterization lab, onsite day surgery, and robotic surgery with the da Vinci Surgical System.
Our Perioperative Nurses leverage their experience to support patients and clinical staff, contributing to service improvements and department sustainability.
Responsibilities include:
* Ensuring optimal patient outcomes and acting as a patient advocate throughout their journey
* Applying clinical expertise to manage perioperative procedures and patient care
* Managing post-anesthesia and postoperative complications effectively
* Collaborating with the nursing team to deliver exceptional care
* Maintaining current skills and knowledge for professional growth
About you
You are motivated by a challenging and rewarding environment, bringing energy and experience to our team.
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered or Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions)
* Experience as an anaesthetics nurse
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative, sound judgment, and strong communication skills
* Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
* Dedicated to maintaining high standards of patient care
