You will use evidence based practice to assess, plan and support the nutritional needs of those in your care, while ensuring your work reflects the Dietitians Australia Professional Standards.This is a wonderful opportunity to grow your clinical skills, make a meaningful difference each day, and be part of a compassionate organisation that truly values its people.**The Position*** Provide direct nutrition and dietetic service to patients/clients and/or carers on an individual or group level for both inpatients and/or outpatients.* Coordinate the provision of special dietary requirements of patients* Provide consultation and support to medical, nursing, catering and allied health professionals within the Division, and external agencies, as appropriate.* Using nutritional knowledge, acts as a consultant to the hospital catering service to inform menu development and compliance with the relevant hospital Nutritional standard* Document patients' medical nutrition therapy in the approved manner.* Participate in multidisciplinary activities e.g. team meetings, ward rounds, or case conferences, as required.* Participate in the delivery of education programmes within the dietetics service and for other caregiver groups within the Division.* Develop and review dietary education resources.* Participate in other hospital activities as assigned.* Supervise, instruct and assess dietetic students in approved clinical teaching programs in liaison with the Supervisor/Manager.* Attends relevant training sessions offered by SJGHC. Satisfactory completion of all annual mandatory and unit based competencies as required.* Accepts responsibility for maintaining and strengthening own professional knowledge and expertise. Maintenance of own continuing professional development portfolio as required.Applicants will hold a tertiary qualification in Dietetics and be eligible for full membership with Dietitians Australia, including current Accredited Practising Dietitian status. You will have the ability to apply evidence-based practice and sound dietetic knowledge to provide safe and effective care for patients across a range of clinical will also demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
