On behalf of a large Federal Government Agency, we are looking for an APS6 Team Leader. This is an assignment until 31 December 2026, 37.5 hours per week, based in Richmond.
As an APS6 Team Leader, you will lead a team of technical analysts to design, build and deliver high-quality, forward-looking reporting, projections and scenario-based insights that drive operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of technical analysts, setting clear expectations, managing performance and building capability
* Plan and deliver forward-looking operational reporting and projections, ensuring outputs are timely, accurate and fit‐for‐purpose
* Oversee the design, build, validation and quality assurance of projection and scenario‐based reporting products
* Engage and influence senior stakeholders through clear communication of complex insights and risks
Required Qualifications
* Proven leadership experience managing technical or analytical teams
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
* Advanced data capability, including validation, assurance and interpretation
* Advanced Excel skills and experience writing and troubleshooting in SAS/SQL
* Experience owning and delivering regular reporting products
* Demonstrated experience in designing, building and assuring projection and scenario‐based reporting
Desirable Skills
* Project management experience
* Forecasting and modelling expertise
* Previous government experience
* Experience managing remote or distributed teams
