Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and keeping operations running smoothly? ORIX Australia is looking for a motivated Rental Team Leader to support the leadership of our Rental & Mobility branch and help drive operational performance, customer satisfaction, and business growth.

As Rental Team Leader, you'll play a key role as the 2IC to the Branch Manager, helping lead day-to-day operations while ensuring the branch delivers outstanding service to customers and partners. You'll support team leadership, fleet optimisation, and local customer engagement, while contributing to the branch's financial and operational success.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with automotive or fleet experience who enjoys a mix of leadership, operational problem solving, and customer interaction.

Included In What You'll Do
* Support the Branch Manager in leading day‐to‐day branch operations and maintaining high performance across utilisation, profitability, compliance, and customer service.
* Act as second‐in‐command (2IC), stepping in to support leadership, decision‐making, and operational continuity when required.
* Foster strong relationships with existing and new local and state‐based customers and partners to support retention and growth.
* Lead and coordinate rental and mobility branch activities, ensuring operational best practice and consistent customer experience.
* Assist with fleet optimisation, asset management, and utilisation planning to maximise operational efficiency.
* Collaborate with internal teams including Business Development, National Accounts, and Risk to support growth opportunities and ensure compliance.
* Monitor and report on branch activity, financial performance, and operational indices to support strategic decision‐making.
What You Have
* Experience in rental operations, fleet management, automotive, asset finance, or mobility environments.
* Strong customer service experience and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and partners.
* Some leadership or supervisory experience, or the ability to step into a leadership role and support team development.
* Automotive industry exposure, with basic mechanical knowledge being highly advantageous.
* Strong operational awareness with the ability to manage branch activities, fleet utilisation, and service delivery.
* A commercial and solution‐focused mindset with the ability to identify and mitigate operational risks.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
* HR Licence (highly regarded) and confidence operating within a fleet environment.
