The Inpatient Rehabilitation Service at Auburn Hospital provides multidisciplinary rehabilitation care for adults recovering from illness or injury.
* Part of the Occupational Therapy Department at Auburn Hospital
* Works closely with rehabilitation specialists and multidisciplinary teams
* Supports inpatient and community-based discharge planning

Essential Requirements
* Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
* Registration: Current general registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
Selection Criteria
* Clinical experience equivalent to Level 2 Occupational Therapist with a high level of broad generalist knowledge as well as post graduate specialised experience in medical, neurological and/or aged care rehabilitation, including experience in discharge planning, home assessment, home modifications and equipment prescription.
* Demonstrated experience in supervision and training of Level 1/2 Occupational Therapists, Allied Health Assistants and/or Occupational Therapy Students.
* Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated highly developed skills in time management, high-volume caseload management and prioritisation of patients in a rehabilitation inpatient setting.
* Demonstrated understanding of service coordination, evaluation, planning and development and/or experience in leading quality improvement projects
* Demonstrated ability to implement and monitor the work health and safety requirements in a rehabilitation inpatient hospital setting.
* Ability to work autonomously with minimum direct supervision and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
