About us

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service is a not-for-profit organisation providing world class aeromedical, search and rescue services to those in need 24/7. The Service has 50 years of proud history, and operates from three bases in NSW (Tamworth, Belmont, Lismore) in addition to a Head Office and Deep Level Maintenance (DLM) facility based in Broadmeadow NSW. With a clear vision for our future – to be Australia's leading Aeromedical and Rescue Service provider, we know the key to success is a motivated, trained, and empowered team operating within a culture of professionalism and accountability.

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Procurement & Logistics Manager to lead the development and delivery of procurement, logistics and stores strategies that ensure aircraft availability, regulatory compliance and cost effectiveness.

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, this senior role is critical to the performance of our Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) and broader operational capability.

In this role you will:

* Lead end-to-end procurement, logistics and stores strategy in a highly regulated aviation environment.
* Ensure aviation parts and supplies are available to meet operational and maintenance timeframes.
* Develop and maintain compliant procurement and inventory processes aligned to CASA and contract requirements.
* Build strong, value-driven supplier partnerships and manage supplier performance, risk and cost reduction initiatives.
* Oversee inventory control, freight movements (including dangerous goods), warranty processes and stock rotation across bases.
* Lead and develop a capable stores team, fostering a positive, respectful, accountable and safety-focused culture.
* Drive continuous improvement, financial discipline and data-driven decision-making across the supply chain.

About You

With strong leadership capability, commercial acumen and experience operating within complex, compliance-driven environments, to be successful in this role, you will bring:

* Tertiary qualifications in Business, Logistics or a related discipline
* Demonstrated leadership experience across procurement, logistics and stores operations
* Strong supplier management, contract negotiation and cost-reduction capability
* Experience in aviation, maintenance or similarly regulated industries (highly desirable)
* A collaborative, values-driven leadership style with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

To be successful in this role, you will be a natural relationship-builder who knows how to connect with people at all levels. You are proactive, organised and able to juggle competing priorities and projects, bringing a best-practice mindset to every challenge.

This is more than just a job; it's a chance to contribute meaningfully and grow with a team and organisation that values your expertise.
