About the Role:
The School of Culture and Communication within The University of Melbourne's Faculty of Arts seeks to appoint Senior Tutors with expertise in teaching creative writing subjects at undergraduate and graduate levels. Key areas include screenwriting, fiction, creative nonfiction, and critical-creative writing practices.
Responsibilities will include supporting subject coordinators, preparing and conducting tutorials and seminars, administering and marking assessments, contributing to course development, and engaging in scholarly activity that supports teaching practice.
We are looking for a PhD-qualified academic with a strong background in creative writing and experience in effective teaching practices. Key qualities include a demonstrated specialisation in at least one area of creative writing, innovative and impactful publications, and knowledge of inclusive learning environments.
