Support Worker – Complex Behaviour & Trauma-Informed Care

Connecting Your Care is seeking a calm, compassionate Support Worker to support a 20-year-old young woman living with her family in Grange.
This is a sensitive, high-trust role for someone who values relationship-building, emotional safety, and long-term commitment. The participant lives with Intellectual Disability, Autism Level 3 and PTSD. A Behaviour Support Practitioner is involved, and a preventative Behaviour Support Plan is in place.
We're looking for someone who:
* Has experience with complex behaviours, autism and/or trauma
* Is calm, emotionally regulated and non-reactive
* Doesn't take behaviours personally or hold grudges
* Values collaboration with family and practitioners
* Can build trust slowly and genuinely
* Is seeking a long-term role
The process:
* Initial Zoom meeting with behaviour practitioner to discuss BoC's - Will be paid
* Paid 30min meet with family - Paid
* Paid 2-hour shadow shift to learn routines and interests
* Gradual increase for the right fit
Important:

No restrictive practices. In-Home STR support may be included in the future.
You must hold WWCC, Police Check, NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid and appropriate qualifications.
We also have additional participants we are seeking to add to their support team so extra hours will be available.
