Accounts officer / assistant (torrensville)

Offer description

We are seeking a full-time experienced Accounts Officer to join our Torrensville office.

This is an excellent prospect for someone looking for an immediate start with potential to transition into a permanent role.

About the role:
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will provide accounting support across a range of tasks, including invoicing, reconciliations, month-end reporting, payroll support, and vendor management.

You'll also contribute to improving business operating efficiency while supporting state-based teams with finance-related functions.

Key responsibilities:

- Assist the Commercial Manager with financial and operational efficiency improvements

- Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, and accounts payable

- Reconcile postage, programming, and supply records

- Manage CPI notifications and vendor account setups

- Support debt collection when required

- Process and verify weekly payroll, maintain KRONOS data, and assist with payroll queries

- Contribute to end-of-month duties, ad-hoc reporting, and financial management tasks

- Provide support to Site Manager and Sales teams as needed

What we're looking for:

- 4-5 years' experience in accounting administration

- Strong knowledge of accounting/reconciliation processes and systems

- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Methodical, detail-oriented, and able to work autonomously

- Current driver's licence (for banking requirements)

- Must be legally eligible to work long-term in Australia
