Our client, a leading contractor in the infrastructure and communications space, is expanding its delivery team and needs multiple highly skilled, safety-driven professionals for On-Call assignments. You will be instrumental in the installation, maintenance, and compliance of Low Voltage (LV) power systems, essential data/communication racks, and fibre optic networks within rail and large-scale infrastructure environments.

Successful candidates will be offered specialised training to position you as a crucial safety leader on highly complex worksites.

* Troubleshooting & Rectification: Carry out fault finding, troubleshooting, and rectification using approved diagnostic tools like multi-meters and Ethernet testers.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality termination and patching standards for reliability and compliance.
* Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret communications drawings and schematics to execute works accurately.
* Operational Awareness: Apply operational awareness to avoid impacting live networks or ongoing system operations.

For Fibre Optic Technicians:

* Splicing & Termination: Perform fusion splicing and termination of fibre optic cables.
* Testing & Certification: Conduct fibre testing and certification using industry-standard equipment like OTDRs, light sources, and power meters.
* Fault Resolution: Diagnose and rectify fibre faults and performance issues in operational environments.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate testing and documentation for compliance and quality assurance.
* Diagram Interpretation: Read and interpret fibre network drawings and splice diagrams to execute precise works.

Essential Requirements:

Licenses & Certifications (Mandatory):

* Electricians: Current Electrical License
* Cablers: ACMA Open Cabling Registration
* Fibre Techs: Fibre Optic Splicing & Testing certification (or equivalent industry accreditation)

All Positions:

* Rail Industry Worker Card
* White Card
* Working at Heights Certification

Skills & Experience:

* Proven, hands-on experience in the specific discipline (LV electrical, structured copper cabling, or fibre optic splicing/testing).
* Proficiency with required test equipment (e.g., OTDRs, Ethernet testers, multi-meters).
* Strong ability to interpret technical drawings (electrical schematics, comms layouts, or fibre splice diagrams).
* Demonstrated knowledge of compliance, safety, and operational protocols in high-risk environments (rail, industrial, or infrastructure).

Employment Options:

This advertisement is primarily focused on securing Ad-Hoc specialists for flexible, high-value project support. (Note: Full-Time availability may be discussed based on overall project needs)
