Who We're Looking For
* We're looking for great people, not just great musicians.
* If you are kind, patient and a clear communicator.
* Reliable and punctual (you turn up early, not just on time).
* Creative and engaging in your teaching.
* Confident with beginners (most new students are school aged).
* Passionate about contemporary music (pop, rock, blues, metal, indie, etc.).
We are open to junior teachers (17+) who are talented musicians and ready to be trained and mentored, as well as experienced teachers seeking a stable, long-term position in a professional studio. Multiple roles available.
Pay & Growth
Your pay reflects your experience and commitment. We have different levels of pay for:
* Junior teachers (17+) needing training and mentoring
* Teachers with 2+ years teaching experience
* Senior teachers with extensive experience, strong retention, and long-term commitment
Most teachers build to a 4–5 hour shift with back-to-back students quickly due to high demand, particularly after school.
The Role
* Deliver engaging one-on-one guitar and/or ukulele lessons
* Teach mostly beginners and intermediate students (primary-aged, teen-aged and adult students)
* Build students from beginner to confident, capable musicians
* Write short lesson notes for students and families using our modern scheduling software
* Occasionally conduct Zoom lessons when required (e.g., if a student is unwell)
* Help students prepare for performances (during lesson time) and support them on stage at our annual student concert
You focus on teaching. We handle the rest.
What We Will Do For You
* We work hard to fill your schedule with great students and minimal gaps
* You're paid for no-shows
* All admin is handled for you, including trial lesson bookings and follow ups, enrolments, payments, scheduling, and student lesson reminders
* Automatic weekly pay
* Clean, spacious teaching rooms with natural light
* Modern systems so you can see student history, notes and schedules easily
* Paid involvement in our professionally run annual concert
We're known for keeping our teachers well supplied with chocolate at the end of term.
