LJBC seeks to appoint a Registered School Nurse (Primary). This position will work under the direction of the Head of Primary and is responsible for the health care of the students, staff and visitors of the College. The School Nurse will provide initial first aid response, advice of first aid requirements and ensure that first aid facilities and supplies are maintained. The School Nurse is to promote holistic healthcare and wellbeing with oversight of the daily health issues that arise at the College.
This role is three days a week, during school term.
The position will commence in January 2026 on a one‑year fixed term, with the possibility of extension.
Qualities and Skills
* Excellent interpersonal and professional qualities, including compassion.
* Maintain excellent standards of customer service at all times.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, supervisors, students and parents and visitors.
* Physical ability to perform first aid techniques including CPR and patient management.
* A practicing Christian, and able to provide a pastor/minister reference.
Qualifications / Requirements
* Registered nurse with current registration certified by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Current CPR and Senior First Aid competency.
* Current Youth Mental Health First Aid is desirable.
* Current Diabetes, Asthma and Anaphylaxis education is desirable.
* Working with Children Check (mandatory) or proof of application prior to commencement.
* Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check through Department of Education Western Australia less than six months old (mandatory) or proof of application prior to commencement.
* Right to work in Australia.
