You will be supporting our audit teams to produce high-quality financial audits, building analytical and technical skills underpinned by clear and strong communication.
* Conducting external financial audits and reporting results.
* Developing an understanding of client businesses and associated risks.
* Assessing internal controls and documenting key business cycles, testing their effectiveness and communicating deficiencies found.
* Performing substantive audit procedures to confirm assets, liabilities, revenue and expenditure reported in financial reports and accounting records.
* Drafting engagement letters, strategy reports, completion reports and audit reports for review.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years prior external audit experience in an Australian Accounting Practice and knowledge of accounting standards and audit procedures.
* Commenced or completed Chartered Accountants Program through CAANZ or CPA Australia program or equivalent.
* Completed Bachelors degree or higher qualification majoring in Accounting.
* Ability to develop strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
* Excellent English skills both written and oral.
* Experience working with clients in the not-for-profit sector, banking, building and construction industry, transport industry, professional services and wine industry an advantage.
