We currently have an opportunity for an Accountant to join our finance team.
Key responsibilities as Accountant – Capital Works and Funding…
As Accountant – Capital Works and Funding, you will play a vital role in accounting and reporting on cash reserves. This role works directly with the Chief Financial Officer and will assist the accounting teams with the internal, external reserves and capital program for both statutory and internal reporting. Responsibilities of your role will also include managing and maintaining registers and reconciliations, analysing project transactions and business partnering with other areas.
What we offer...
* Temporary full-time role, 35 hours per week until 1 April 2027
* Commencing annual salary from $95,538 to $105,331
(salary is dependent on qualifications, skills and experience)
* Annual performance-based progression opportunity to earn up to $116,127
* Plus 12% superannuation
* Accrued flex time allowing up to two days off each month for indoor staff and other benefits outlined on the next page.
What you'll need to be successful in the role...
Your written, oral interpersonal communication skills will be well developed and you will have a collaborative work ethic. You will have the ability to manage your time effectively and prioritise your work to meet deadlines in a timely manner. In addition to this, you will need:
* A Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance or similar
* A minimum two years of experience in a finance/accounting position
* An excellent understanding of Australian Accounting Standards
* A demonstrated experience in meeting deadlines, particularly to meet statutory and organisational reporting requirements in a multi-tasking environment
* A demonstrated ability to interpret legislation, guidelines and policies and recommend appropriate changes to process and procedure
* Intermediate level for Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
