Licensing Manager Role
This role plays a critical part in the management of Intellectual Property (IP) to protect our organization. It involves dealing with IP contracts termination, suspended or novated activities globally. The job requires early identification and mitigation of risks, as well as proactive engagement with stakeholders.
The role requires close alignment with various stakeholders, including Business Units, Technology & Innovation, Engineering & Project Management, Corporate Manufacturing, Affiliates, Finance, Procurement, Tax, SGT, Planning & Control, and Legal.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and monitor IP and Confidential Technology exchange within affiliates and third parties globally.
2. Lead IP contracts exits and close-out for terminated, suspended, novated, and completed mega projects.
3. Negotiate and execute related agreements with global technology providers.
4. Review executed IP contracts to ensure all rights are obtained and licensors have met their obligations.
5. Identify gaps and leverage lessons learned for inputs to future negotiations, project execution, or creating opportunities.
6. Engage with Tax, Finance functions globally for issues related to Tax and payments.
7. Analyze data related to license contracts to improve practices associated with existing processes.
8. Identify and mitigate risks of IP contracts related to new complex mega projects and manufacturing sites globally.
9. Manage IP revenue streams of affiliates co-ownership with third parties.
