About the Role
* Location: North-West Burnie & Devonport
* Available roles: Security Officer, Casual Opportunities available
* Multiple sites available
* Full availability preferred
* Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) license required
* 10-12 hour shifts available
* Level 1-2
We are expanding in Tasmania, securing additional contracts that strengthen our presence in the state. This growth has created new roles within our team, focused on enhancing response and support capabilities for our existing teams and clients.
These positions are crucial to our success in the region and will be supported by our Operations Team and Duty Managers. They offer the opportunity to work in response roles, handling events such as protests and emergency management, with training across multiple locations and a variety of positions.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Availability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends (24/7 availability)
* Excellent customer service skills
* General security duties, external and internal lock-ups, and more
* Be a lateral thinker in solving issues that may arise
* Have an understanding of communication lines and chain of command
* Have an understanding of emergency and alarm response protocols, including fire systems
* Protect and maintain security and integrity of building and infrastructure
* Submit electronic or paper incident and hazard reports
* Be well-presented and well-spoken
* Good IT skills
Who We Are Looking For
* Tasmanian Security License and First Aid Certificate
* Flexibility to work 24/7 rotating rosters
* WWVP Check
* Experience in a healthcare environment (highly desirable)
* Good level of physical fitness
* Ability to work in high-pressure environments
