About the Role
A Concierge is responsible for answering questions, giving direction and making detailed reservations or recommendations for Park Hyatt Sydney. This position requires knowledge of all Park Hyatt Sydney offerings, local restaurants, attractions, and the ability to arrange guest services through a wide variety of vendors, events, venues and transportation options. The Concierge must provide information and assistance to guests while ensuring the highest standard of service and professionalism at all times. He or she establishes rapport with guests, maintains empathetic conversations and relationships, and offers personalized and pre‐emptive service tailored to individual preferences.
Responsibilities
* Greet and welcome guests.
* Act as the point of reference for guests who need assistance or information and attend to their wishes and requirements.
* Understand customers' needs and provide personalized solutions by suggesting activities and facilities offered by the hotel.
* Acquire extensive knowledge of the premises and nearby venues and businesses to make suitable recommendations.
* Respond to complaints and find appropriate solutions.
* Provide maps and directions.
* Assist in on‐site events such as weddings or corporate meetings.
* Develop and expand a network of contacts within the community.
Qualifications
* Previous experience as a Concierge within a five‐star hotel or similar environment preferred.
* Professional presentation.
* Outstanding guest‐service skills, sophisticated verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
* Strong interpersonal and problem‐solving abilities.
* Highly responsible and reliable.
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‐paced environment.
* Extremely organized and well‐developed computer knowledge.
* Extensive knowledge of Sydney and surrounding areas.
* Must already have a valid visa to work in Australia.
