The Opportunity
Albany Creek Retirement Village is a vibrant community spanning 11 hectares of gardens and grounds, featuring 380+ independent villas and apartments. With amenities like a restaurant, pool, tennis court, and gym, Albany Creek Retirement Village offers a unique chance for a Maintenance Officer to join our established team. You'll spend time outdoors, attending to light repairs, maintenance, or groundskeeping tasks, connecting with residents, and collaborating with staff to maintain our buildings, common areas, and units.
No matter your background or career aspirations, whether just starting out or looking for a change, we encourage you to apply. This part‐time opportunity runs Tuesday to Friday, 8am-4pm.

You Will:
* Attend to various maintenance requests around the village (basic domestic repair tasks)
* Carry out preventative maintenance tasks (e.g., pool checks, high‐pressure cleaning, smoke alarm checks, and bins etc.)
* Liaise with your fellow maintenance team to ensure projects undertaken are completed to a high standard
* Use our system app to log, track, and record the progress of jobs completed
* Help out around the village with additional tasks
* Be a friendly face to the residents and work alongside a fantastic team
* Please note – this is not a gardening role. We've got that covered
What You Will Bring:
* A genuine interest in learning new skills, being outdoors, and hands‐on who will enjoy chatting with residents
* Skilled or experienced in domestic repair or handyperson tasks (e.g., painting) (highly desired)
* Automatic driver's license (required)
* Two (2) COVID-19 Vaccinations (required)
* Current Police Check certificate (required, but if you do not have one, we can complete for you)
