About Monash Health Pathology: an integral part of Monash Health and the largest public provider of pathology services in the state, currently operating 6 laboratories with the largest at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton. There are 18 collection locations within hospital sites and community settings. Services are provided to the Public and Private sectors, and other laboratory services. Monash Health is partnering with Alfred Health to be the premier shared public pathology service in Victoria.
About the Role
Hours: Full Time Maternity Leave Position (5 January – 30 November 2026)
Classification: Grade 2 Medical Laboratory Technician BV1-ON18 (Depending on experience)
We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to work in our Anatomical Pathology Department at Monash Medical Centre. The successful candidates are expected to participate in staff rotations.
About You
* Diploma in Laboratory Technology
* Experience in specimen receipt, tracking and preparation of histological samples
* Experience in embedding and microtomy
* Knowledge in performing maintenance on laboratory equipment
* Knowledge of the preparation of cytology specimens is desirable but not essential
