Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals is seeking a skilled Doctor of stroke medicine to fill an exciting consultancy post. As a consultant in stroke medicine, you will play a vital role in providing acute care and rehabilitation provision at our hospitals.
Job Description
This locum consultancy position offers unparalleled opportunities for practice, academia, and research. You will be working closely with vascular surgeons and neurosurgeons, referring patients for surgery and increasingly with interventional neuroradiologists, referring patients for clot-retrieval therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide clinical leadership in stroke medicine services.
* Develop and implement strategies for improving patient outcomes.
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* MBChB (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) or equivalent qualification.
* GMC Specialist registration with full license to practice.
* CCT or CESR in Stroke Medicine and/or General Medicine (or within 6 months of achieving it).
* Relevant experience at consultant level, or references to support your transition up to Consultant level.
* Evidence of Right to Work in the UK.
* Ability to pass an enhanced background check (DBS).
