Position Summary:
Provides home support services such as assisting with activities of daily living, performing delegated tasks after transfer of function training, planning and preparing meals, and light housekeeping.

Position Responsibilities:
* Follow Care Plans and maintain accurate client records.
* Build effective relationships with clients, promoting independence.
* Understand accountability and delegated tasks.
* Communicate client condition changes to supervisors and collaborate with team members.
* Prioritize client safety and seek support from Nurse Supervisors for medical or ethical issues.
Qualifications:
* Community Health Worker (CHW) or Health Care Aide (HCA) certification with BC Care Aide Registry or equivalent experience.
* Healthcare experience.
* Current First Aid (Standard) / CPR Level C certification.
* Valid driver’s license and vehicle are required.
* Current immunization record, including TB test within the past 12 months.
* Vulnerable Sector Check upon hire.
* Availability for days, evenings, and weekends.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good organizational skills.
* Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
* Effective problem-solving and conflict management skills.
* Basic computer and smartphone skills are assets.
* Physical ability to perform tasks, including lifting up to 55 pounds, walking, climbing stairs, and standing.
