We are seeking a highly skilled Visual Effects Artist who can take charge of producing high-quality look dev and shading for our CG Assets.

Key Responsibilities
* Work closely with supervisors to determine the best approach to solving CG challenges and developing the final look
* Create efficient rendering setups to optimize render farm usage
* Stay on schedule and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality work
* Maintain ongoing communication with production regarding schedules and deadlines
* Mentor junior artists within the VFX team
* Create & maintain simple materials using provided shading templates
* Set up bespoke turntable light rigs and shading networks when necessary
* Create & maintain custom hero materials and shading networks when necessary
Requirements
* Degree and/or professional training in Computer Graphics, with advanced experience in VFX; feature animation experience is a plus
* Demo reel required; include a breakdown of responsibilities for each shot
* Excellent listening and communication skills, receptive to direction and criticism
* Ability to mentor and assist junior artists
* Strong task prioritization and time management skills
* Team-oriented but capable of working independently
* Thorough knowledge of the VFX pipeline from modeling to compositing
* Quick learner of new techniques and software
* Beneficial to have Katana and Renderman experience, as well as Python knowledge
* Strong interest in shading technologies
* Proficiency in Linux systems
* Good understanding of physically plausible shading and energy conservation principles
* Deep knowledge of physically based rendering, shading, and real-world materials
