About the role
This is a full-time apprenticeship based in our Maroochydore workshop. As Apprentice Mechanical Fitter, you will assist in the delivery of maintenance and minor corrective works for the safe and reliable operation of plant and equipment. You will assist with performing tests and inspections on equipment, follow workplace health and safety practices, accurately document work history and maintenance, and provide a high level of customer service. You will be mentored, complete on-the-job training and formal training.

- Demonstrate a real interest in mechanical, metal and fabrication work.
- Highly motivated to work as part of a team and/or independently when necessary.
- Strong commitment to safety.

- A commitment to undertake and complete four years of formal training.
- Demonstrated basic time management and problem-solving skills.
- Year 12 Maths preferred and some experience operating electrical/mechanical tools.
- C Class Drivers Licence and willingness to travel and work across the Unitywater region (Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay and Noosa).
- Strong computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Support maintenance and minor corrective works for plant and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Assist with tests and inspections, document maintenance history and actions taken.
- Adhere to workplace health and safety practices and provide quality customer service.
- Engage in mentoring, on-the-job training and formal training throughout the four-year program.
