Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Data Analyst to join our team dedicated to monitoring and evaluating the health of iconic wetlands in the Murray-Darling Basin.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to vital conservation goals by developing advanced computer-based data processing and modelling scripts to predict and evaluate inundation extent and trends across these wetlands.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement sophisticated data analysis and modelling techniques to process and interpret environmental spatial data.
* Integrate remote sensing, spatial analysis, data management, data analysis and evaluation, and field work to monitor wetland hydrology and prepare technical reports.
Requirements
* Demonstrated expertise in computer-based analysis and modelling of environmental spatial data.
* Extensive scripting experience using Python for modelling and computer-based analysis of environmental spatial data.
* Relevant ecological field work monitoring experience, including experience conducting drone wetland surveys and image processing, and RePL certification desirable.
