Role Overview
Aerodrome Reporting Officers are required to oversee operational control, compliance and reporting at RAAF Darwin and RAAF Tindal.
* Daily oversight of operations to ensure DASR/MOS 139 and AO services plan compliance.
* Maintaining airbase operability and certification through inspections and documentation.
* Managing Aerodrome data updates, aircraft manifests, NOTAMs and OLS impacts in accordance with CASA and Defence protocols.
Key Responsibilities Include:
1. Preparation and monitoring of NOTAMs for safety and compliance standards.
2. Regularly maintaining FOD registers.
3. Completing cargo documentation for safe operations and ensuring SOPs are up-to-date.
4. Liaising with BST providers for coordinated maintenance support.
5. Supporting internal and external audits for regulatory compliance.
6. Investigating incidents and security breaches, reporting outcomes to relevant parties.
7. Performing sweeping and mowing duties within operational zones.
8. Conducting hazard inspections and managing environmental risks.
9. Providing ground handling support including fuelling, marshalling and equipment operation.
10. Assisting with baggage and aircraft loading as needed.
11. Coordinating pedestrian and vehicle movements, including escort duties.
12. Supporting air terminal operations, including customer service and aircrew support.
