Job Title: Security Officer
Our team is seeking a skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our dynamic and professional group. The role involves providing a safe, comfortable and secure environment for all staff, clients and patrons.
About the Role:
* Contribute to effective planning and operations of events in relation to security and assume team leader responsibilities where required.
* Assist Centre Operations Manager and Security Coordinator in providing safety and security services to the Centre.
* Assist with administrative tasks as required.
* Maintain communication with external contractors regarding security matters.
* Ensure compliance with centre safety procedures and meet WH&S obligations.
* Manage emergency services and evacuation procedures.
* Investigate and compile reports on workplace incidents.
* Monitor CCTV surveillance and carpark systems.
* Maintain security registers and delegation of assets.
* Assist with other tasks and day-to-day operations as required.
Requirements:
* Minimum one year experience in similar role.
* Valid Security and Crowd Control licence and ability to maintain its validity.
* Valid First Aid and CPR certificate.
* Flexible availability for rotating 7-day event-based roster, including after hours.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficient in computer systems and relevant software applications.
* Professional personal presentation and grooming.
* Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
* Strong teamwork, leadership, and staff management skills.
* Organized with effective time management and attention to detail.
* Proactive, adaptable, and receptive to guidance.
