**The Role**
The ASD is a foreign intelligence agency. ASD collects and analyses foreign signals intelligence and provides advice and assistance on information and communications security. Unconventional Access Solutions (UAS) enable and support the conduct of intelligence, security and military operations through development and deployment of unique electronic and mechanically engineered solutions. The Electronics Technicians will be in a key position to produce, maintain and support electronics devices through electronics fault finding, running productions equipment or manual electronics rework. Ideally the successful applicant(s) will to be a qualified or practicing electronics technicians, or from related trades. On the job and formal training is also offered to build your career in this field.
**About our Team**
As a member of a small team, the successful applicant will be involved in the design, production, testing and integration of electronic systems and sub systems to support ASD's mission. This is achieved by team members contributing to the following -:
Electronics design knowledge (e.g. digital, analog, RF, power supply debugging)
Electronics manufacturing knowledge (e.g. PCB types and design rules, production process and limitations)
Electronics production and rework (e.g. machine operation, hand placement and soldering)
Electronics inspection (e.g. inspection for faults and confirmation of manufacturing processes)
