An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior .Net Software Engineer (EL1 equivalent) to contribute to large-scale ICT programs supporting critical national systems.
This role sits within a high-performing Information Platforms and Application Development environment responsible for modernising enterprise and election-critical applications
About the Role
You will participate in the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), enhancing and uplifting C#-based, n-tier enterprise systems in line with modern engineering practices
Working within an Agile delivery framework, you will develop, enhance and support applications while contributing to automation, DevOps uplift and cloud-based solutions
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and enhance enterprise C#/.Net applications
* Build automated deployment and build scripts across modern .Net environments
* Work within Agile methodologies using Azure DevOps
* Support production environments and resolve complex technical issues
* Contribute to technical analysis, documentation and stakeholder engagement
* Deliver well-designed, documented and testable code
Essential Skills & Experience
* Strong experience in Agile software development and SDLC
* Backend development using Web API and SQL technologies
* Advanced .Net development experience (Framework and modern .Net)
* Experience developing cloud-based applications
* Proficiency with Visual Studio and Azure DevOps
* Strong analytical capability and stakeholder communication skills
Desirable
* Relevant tertiary qualification in IT or Computer Science
* Experience with cloud technologies and integration design
* Ability to quickly gain knowledge of electoral legislation and practices
