Corporate Services Manager – Beechworth Correctional Centre
The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Corporate Services Manager to provide a critical role at or within Beechworth Correctional Centre.
Salary: VPS Grade 5, $116,413 – $140,849 (effective May 2026)
About The Role
The Corporate Services Manager, Beechworth Correctional Centre is directly responsible for services related to the prison's achievement of budget, resource management, human resources, recruitment, staffing and training oversight, stores, accounts payable, purchasing, environmental services, and prisoner services including records and property. This position also supports the General Manager, Beechworth Correctional Centre with shaping and delivering the prison's annual business plan.
There will be an expectation to lead by example with the Sector values and actively contribute towards creating and sustaining a positive and healthy workforce culture built on solid values, professional excellence and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a small team responsible for financial, procurement, human resources, records and property functions.
* Manage the effective delivery of financial, accounting, budget, procurement, and administration services to the Beechworth Correctional Centre.
* Manage the financial performance of the prison and provide advice on budget and finance and procurement, including delivery of budget and financial performance monitoring reports.
* Contribute to strategic decision making in relation to business planning and strategies for the prison's corporate and business support services.
* Build and maintain partnerships across the Beechworth Correctional Centre through the provision of specialist advice and support on key areas of responsibility.
Qualifications & Experience
* Demonstrated experience and knowledge of modern business service activities.
* Working knowledge of financial management and people management.
* A qualification in Human Resource Management, Business or Financial Management is highly regarded.
