We're seeking a senior commercial leader to define and implement our business-wide customer value strategy. As the Head of Pricing, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to create and execute an enterprise-wide value program, driving alignment with Coles' pricing policies.
About the role
You'll be responsible for leading regular Pricing Forums, presenting to Business Unit General Managers and Executive teams to ensure consistent execution of our value agenda in line with our compliance framework.
This is a leadership opportunity requiring strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and high-impact stakeholder engagement.
You'll also:
* Develop and implement Coles' value strategy, one of its strategic pillars in the broader business strategy.
* Drive cross-functional alignment to land our value strategy with customers.
* Ensure effective use of value investment to enhance customer price perception, trust, and transaction/basket growth.
* Identify and capture pricing opportunities to improve trading performance (sales and margin).
* Lead capability uplift across Merchandise teams, embedding pricing and value disciplines and compliance through robust governance and processes.
About you and your skills
We're looking for someone with:
* Deep experience in customer-centric FMCG or Retail environments.
* Proven success operating in complex matrix structures and influencing senior leadership.
* Previous experience in senior commercial or strategy roles – e.g. Head of Portfolio or equivalent.
* Strong ability to engage, influence, and align cross-functional stakeholder groups.
* Experience in adapting and executing commercial strategy in fast-paced environments.
* Demonstrated success in driving commercial programs from concept to delivery.
* Strong analytical capabilities, including pricing and trade planning expertise.
* Exceptional communication skills – written, verbal, and presentation.
* Experience in strategy development, program scoping, change management, and delivery.
* Outstanding commercial acumen and customer focus.
