Role summary
We're seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Receivable Officer to join our Brisbane (Wacol) team. You will be responsible for processing supplier invoices, reconciling accounts, client invoicing, purchase order management, managing payment runs, and supporting general finance tasks to ensure timely and accurate financial operations.
Key responsibilities
Process supplier invoices and credit notes in line with company procedures
Client Invoicing
Purchase order processing
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
Prepare and execute weekly and monthly payment runs
Maintain accurate records of accounts payable/receivable transactions
Respond to supplier queries and liaise with internal teams
Assist with month-end reporting and general ledger reconciliations
Carry out other duties as directed by business directors
Skills and experience
Previous experience in accounts payable or similar finance role
Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP processes
Proficiency with accounting software (Xero)
High attention to detail and strong time management skills-
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently and within a team
Certificate/Diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping, or equivalent qualification
