We are now seeking Family Domestic Violence Intake Referral Officer to join our team!
LOCATION : Midland area
SALARY: SCHADS Level 4
Key Objectives:
•To have knowledge and experience of working with young people who have/or are experiencing family and domestic violence.
•To provide administrative support to Indigo Junction’s family and domestic violence services.
•Direct clients accessing the service to the appropriate on site supports.
•To support the operations of Indigo Junction.
Essential Criteria:
Experience and knowledge:
•Understanding of the principles of Trauma Informed Care.
•Experience in administrative duties.
•Demonstrated ability to work with people from culturally diverse backgrounds.
•Progressing towards a relevant qualification in Community Services or related discipline (Certificate III), and/or have diverse lived experience or cultural expertise and are
looking to engage in formal study.
Skills and Attributes:
•High level of interpersonal skills.
•High level communications skills, both written and oral.
•High level self-management, time management and organisational skills.
•Computing skills in word processing, spreadsheets and database.
Training and/or Licence and/or clearances:
•Current ‘C’ class driver’s licence.
•Current National Police Clearance.
•Working With Children Clearance.
•First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
Key Responsibilities
Organisational
•Operate within the Indigo Junction Staff Code of Conduct
•Support data entry to organisational data base and reporting systems
•Provide administrative support to staff
•Other duties as directed by senior staff
Advocacy and Referral
•Provide information and resources for individuals to ensure their needs are met
Administration
•Maintain records, data information and reports in accordance with agency requirements
•Comply with all privacy, equal opportunity and occupational health and safety requirements
•Participate in professional supervision, team meetings, training and working groups as required
•Coordinate and facilitate the support of access emergency relief and brokerage support for eligible individuals accessing FDV services
Interagency Working
•Participate in interagency coordination and maintain good working relationships with local agencies and networks
•Always work in an ethical and professional manner as a representative of the Organisation
Other
•Promote and implement safety strategies for all clients, colleagues and yourself
•Other duties relevant to the role or as directed by management.
