Role Description
The Cyber Security Sales Leader will spearhead new business acquisition, drive new logo wins, and establish our leadership position across Australia's cybersecurity landscape. This role requires a strong hunter mindset, a deep network of CISO-level relationships, and proven ability to win complex enterprise security deals. This is a high-impact, customer-facing leadership role with significant autonomy and visibility.
Key Responsibilities
* New Business Acquisition & Revenue Leadership
o Own and deliver annual and quarterly sales targets, with full accountability for Australia revenue growth.
o Consistently generate, qualify, and close new opportunities and new logos.
o Drive strategic sales motions for cybersecurity services, managed security offerings, and advanced security technologies.
* Market Engagement & Executive Customer Relationships
o Build, expand, and nurture trusted relationships with CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, CROs, and senior cyber leaders across enterprises.
o Represent the company with impeccable professionalism in customer interactions, industry events, and executive briefings.
o Lead customer presentations, advisory discussions, and solution positioning.
* RFP Management & Deal Closure
o Identify and pursue new RFPs; develop, qualify, and shape opportunities.
o Lead the complete RFP lifecycle – proposal strategy, coordination, solution tailoring, commercial structuring, and final negotiation.
o Work in close collaboration with internal solutions, pre‐sales, delivery, legal, and global teams to craft compelling, differentiating proposals.
* Channel, Partner & OEM Ecosystem Expansion
o Establish and expand sales channels and partner networks across Australia.
o Build and deepen relationships with major security OEMs – with strong preference for candidates experienced in selling or partnering with Google, Microsoft, and leading cybersecurity vendors.
o Drive joint go‐to‐market (GTM) motions, demand generation, and pipeline acceleration through partners.
* Market Intelligence & Strategic Growth
o Provide insights on market shifts, customer needs, competitive intelligence, and pricing trends.
o Identify new growth avenues and advise leadership on Australia market expansion strategies.
o Collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine offerings for the Australian market.
* Internal Collaboration & Leadership
o Engage cross-functionally with pre‐sales, solution architects, marketing, and service delivery teams.
o Lead deal reviews, pipeline governance, and quarterly business performance discussions.
o Mentor internal teams involved in sales pursuits and channel management.
Required Skills And Experience
* Minimum 15 years of experience in cybersecurity sales, with strong exposure to Australia's enterprise and BFSI markets.
* Proven track record of new logo acquisition, exceeding revenue quotas, and winning enterprise-level cybersecurity deals.
* Strong expertise in major cybersecurity domains, including:
o MDR, SOC Operations, EDR/XDR
o Data Security & DLP
o Network Security & Firewalls
o Cloud Security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
o Application Security & DevSecOps
o Threat Intelligence & Threat Hunting
o Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing
* Excellent relationships and working experience with Google, Microsoft, and major global cybersecurity OEMs.
* Deep understanding of RFP processes, enterprise procurement cycles, and complex deal execution.
* Outstanding communication, negotiation, and executive stakeholder management skills.
* Self-driven, disciplined, high‐energy leader with strong ownership and customer‐first mindset.
* Willingness to travel extensively within Australia and internationally, as business demands.
