We are seeking a technically exceptional Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team based in Darwin.

What You'll Do
You will play a critical role in safeguarding financial integrity across the organisation—ensuring reporting is accurate, compliant, and delivered to the highest standard.
This is a hands‐on technical position offering strong visibility and influence across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Monthly consolidated reporting—accurate, timely and dependable
* Support external audit coordination and management. Including timely accurate submission of all relevant documents, statements and disclosures
* Prepare and review all BAS, FBT and IAS returns in accordance with ATO regulatory requirements
* Ensure adherence to taxation, superannuation, and payroll compliance obligations
* Fixed asset governance and asset register integrity
* Manage journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
* Support the Financial Controller with analysis of financial performance, trends, and variances
* Foster collaboration across DCOH departments (internally) and with external stakeholders, including KPMG, banking institutions and hospitality representatives
* ERP oversight and financial systems management, including JobPac
Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum bachelor degree in Accounting and/or Finance
* CA or CPA qualification or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred
* Demonstrates strong technical accounting capability
* Have experience operating in multi‐entity, multi‐currency environments preferred
* Proven working experience as a senior member of a finance function with people management responsibilities
* A background in construction, property development, or project‐based environments is desired
* Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures in accordance with AASB and IFRS
