The Opportunity
They are broad reaching – impacting most, if not all, of the BDA business
They have many stakeholders, often at the most senior levels of the business
The objectives of the projects support the execution of the BDA strategy
There are elements of complexity – technical, governance or other constraints
Require strong leadership skills and strategic thinking
Overall Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Demonstrate and champion the Boeing Behaviours and Values
Perform project management activities in accordance with Project Management Best Practices.
Exercise authority and delegations as defined by the Managing Director
Develop and use collaborative relationships within and outside the organization to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals.
Build rapport and trust among stakeholders and leverage the company's dynamics to promote program goals by focusing on a shared vision.
Implement plans to ensure business, technical and customer requirements are achieved.
Identify resource requirements, provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvements.
Assign authority and responsibilities to employees to execute the plan.
Review plans, execute, make appropriate adjustments and resolve issues; monitor metrics to ensure performance to plan.
Develop alternative options or scenarios, resource capacity plans, risk mitigation plans to balance the program portfolio as required.
To be successful you will have
A strategic mindset, able to provide domain knowledge and leadership to a range of situations
Proven leadership, in line with our core values of Safety and Quality, Trust, People Focus, Ownership and Innovation
Experience in delivery of complex programs across Defence or related industries
Established networks across industry to collaborate and meet customer expectations
A proven ability to develop positive, effective stakeholder relationships in a highly matrixed environment
Ability to support, lead, and delegate the project team's responsibilities and tasks through all stages of the project life cycle.
Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area.
Ideally, an NV1 security clearance as a minimum
Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
