Overview
Join to apply for theSchool Psychologistrole at theDepartment of Education, Western Australia.
The School of Isolated and Distance Education (SIDE) seeks to establish a pool of School Psychologists for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies as they arise during the 2025 school year up to the end of Term 3, 2026.
Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

SIDE is an online school delivering flexible, targeted learning to students, including many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, and operates across regional WA with statewide travel as needed.
SIDE uses a blended learning environment with both synchronous (Webex) and asynchronous (Moodle) platforms.
Side has a main campus in Leederville, with facilities at multiple sites.

Responsibilities
Consult with school leaders and project staff to develop and drive strategies for student and staff well-being, risk management, psychosocial safety and targeted program support.
Provide consultation and case-management support for the Referral Program, working with a diverse student body across Regional and Remote areas.
Develop innovative, whole-school, staff and student well-being initiatives using data-driven, evidence-based approaches; integrate refined systems and processes.
Work in a multidisciplinary team and consult on student enrolment suitability; contribute to risk management planning and case formulation.
Provide direct support for students and families with special circumstances affecting attendance/engagement; work one-on-one with students from K-12 (with majority in secondary years).
Liaise with partner schools to support transitions and coordinate with interagency partners to achieve outcomes.
You will possess well-developed written and interpersonal communication skills and engage with interagency partners to achieve outcomes.
The role involves complex responsibilities within a diverse, multicultural client base.
Qualifications and Eligibility
Hold or be eligible for provisional or general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.
Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start.
Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
