Opportunity to work on a high technical Defence Project Your new company An established advanced manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Industrialisation Process Engineer to play a key role in the transition of new products from design through to production and ongoing support. This position sits at the intersection of engineering, production, supply chain and quality, with responsibility for ensuring products are manufacturable, cost-effective and production ready from the earliest stages of development. You will be involved in complex, long term programs delivering technically advanced products within a highly regulated environment. This position is Bendigo based, paying highly attractive daily rates for a long-term contract (12 months ). This role requires Australian Citizenship. Your new role Lead and coordinate industrialisation and production transfer activities across design, prototype, preproduction and full-rate production phases. Ensure manufacturing and support processes are defined, implemented and optimised to meet cost, quality and schedule targets Act as a work package owner for industrialisation activities, including technical, financial and performance tracking Drive manufacturability and serviceability considerations from early design stages through to production readiness Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, production, logistics and suppliers Manage readiness reviews and first article inspections to support production launch Support continuous improvement activities across production lines, processes and methods Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements Contribute to cost modelling and support bid and quotation activities when required What you'll need to succeed Experience in industrial, manufacturing or engineering environments Previous experience within vehicle manufacturing, defence, aerospace or similarly regulated industries Strong understanding of production and repair processes, industrialisation methodologies and production systems Experience managing work packages, production readiness and cost control activities Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools (e.g. PDCA, Gemba, flow management) Strong stakeholder engagement, coordination and problem-solving skills Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering or a technically aligned discipline Australian citizenship What you'll get in return Work on technically complex, longterm programs with real world impact Join a stable organisation with strong investment in engineering and manufacturing capability Competitive daily rate and a long term contract Training, upskilling and career progression What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV to Ali.kavanagh@hays.com.au If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career. 2990630
