 
        
        The Senior Onshore I&C; Engineer will be responsible for the design, specification, integration, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems for offshore and onshore oil & gas facilities.
Contract Type: 12-month contract (with potential extension; project expected to run until 2028)
Working Arrangement: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day (no overtime)
Budget: Salary (inclusive of relocation benefits for family, housing, transportation, and meals)
Role Overview
This includes supporting both Greenfield topside developments and Brownfield tie-ins, ensuring compliance with international standards and project requirements throughout the project lifecycle—from FEED to commissioning and handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and specify instrumentation and control systems for production platforms, subsea equipment, and onshore facilities.
- Develop and review P&IDs;, loop diagrams, control philosophies, system architecture, and technical specifications.
- Select and size instruments for pressure, temperature, flow, and level measurements in harsh offshore environments.
- Ensure integration with DCS, PLC, SCADA, SIS, and packaged equipment control systems.
- Implement company philosophies and international standards (IEC, ISA, ISO, TUV Rheinland, etc.).
Project Execution
- Support all phases of project execution: conceptual design, detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
- Interface with EPCIC contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant deliverables.
- Participate in FAT, SAT, loop checks, and commissioning activities.
- Maintain technical documentation and ensure traceability of design decisions.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure systems comply with IEC 61508/61511, API, ABS, DNV, and other regulatory standards.
- Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL assessments, Alarm Rationalization, and Fire & Gas mapping reviews.
- Design and validate safety-critical systems such as ESD and F&G; detection systems.
Operations Support
- Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and operational phases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation and control system issues.
- Develop preventive and corrective maintenance strategies.
- Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge transfer across teams.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including process, mechanical, electrical, HSSE, QA/QC, and construction.
- Review vendor documentation and manage technical interfaces.
- Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and interface workshops.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical/Electronics, or Control Systems Engineering.
- Master’s degree or specialization in oil & gas instrumentation/control is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience in instrumentation and control systems within upstream oil & gas projects.
- Proven experience in EPCIC project execution, including fabrication yard and offshore commissioning.
- Deepwater and offshore project exposure is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI/Intools), and control system integration tools.
- Strong knowledge of DCS, PLC, SCADA, SIS, and cybersecurity (IEC 62443).
- Familiarity with asset management systems, data historians (PI, OPC), and alarm management.
- Understanding of intrinsically secure and explosion-proof equipment.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
