Supply Partners is a leading technical distributor, and solutions partner in renewable energy. We collaborate closely with New Energy Training (a Registered Training Organisation) to lift industry capability through high‑quality training and technical content.
The role
You'll lead advanced C&I technical enquiries, feasibility modelling, and system design across solar, storage, and hybrid energy. As our senior SME, you'll support pre‑ and post‑sales, mentor specialists, and contribute to course development, internal documentation, R&D initiatives, and AI‑enabled knowledge systems. You'll be based at our Seventeen Mile Rocks HQ and report to the Technical Solutions Manager.
What you'll do
* Lead and vet C&I PV and BESS enquiries (feasibility, quoting, design advisory).
* Support customer service and account managers with product enquiries, BOMs, and solutions design.
* Provide senior mentoring and training to Technical Solutions Specialists.
* Deliver pre‑ and post‑sales technical support via phone, email, and onsite.
* Act as SME for SP & NET: course content, training accuracy, documentation.
* Contribute to R&D alongside the Head of Technical Division.
* Build AI‑driven knowledge libraries and troubleshooting tools.
* Support in‑house electrical work and technical reviews of installations/equipment.
* Produce compliant PV layouts, string designs, SLDs, and technical documentation.
* Manage warranty lodgement and manufacturer liaison; maintain product data in Odoo and HubSpot.
What you'll bring
* 5+ years in solar technical design/engineering or advanced technical support.
* High‑level competency across C&I PV, hybrid, battery storage, and off‑grid systems.
* Proficiency with design/documentation tools; strong written & verbal communication.
* Expert knowledge of AS/NZS 5033, 4777, 5139 and compliance best practice.
* Experience with training content, course development, technical documentation; R&D/product evaluation exposure.
* CEC Design or Design & Install accreditation desirable.
