We are seeking a motivated and industry experienced Yard Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of a locally owned construction business.
We are looking for
* Previous experience in the construction or building industry
* Experience in people management
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Work efficiently and meet deadlines
* Basic computer knowledge
* HR & Forklift licence or willing to attain these licences
* Understand and implement Workplace Health and Safety practices
About the Role
* Oversee and coordinate day‐to‐day yard operations, including unloading incoming deliveries, processing customer orders, outgoing deliveries, and storage of stock
* Implement and monitor procedures for vehicle and equipment maintenance
* Ensure a safe workplace and encourage a friendly team culture
* Meet timeframes and multi‐task effectively
* Operate and train staff on onsite metal processing equipment
* Engage with and develop relationships with our customers, suppliers, and contractors
* Communicate effectively with office staff
* Uphold strict quality standards for our customers
* Work in outdoor and indoor environments
* Use a computer‐based system (training will be given)
