Property and Facilities Full-time Permanent position Base salary in the range $117,958 – $132,247 17% superannuation Based at our St Lucia Campus About This Opportunity The Property and Facilities Division is establishing a new capability within the Program Management Office (PMO) and is seeking a Construction Programmer/Scheduler to support infrastructure-funded capital projects across the University. Locally known as a Project Manager - Construction Programmer, this newly created role and reflects the first time UQ has introduced a dedicated scheduling and programming function at the program level. Rather than focusing on individual project delivery, this role operates at a strategic level and provides visibility across the capital works portfolio to support planning, prioritisation, and informed decision-making. Working within the PMO and reporting to the Associate Director, the role consolidates scheduling and progress information from Project Managers into a centralised reporting framework. This enables clearer insight into project pipelines, resource demand, and delivery risks across the capital works program. Key responsibilities will include: Develop and maintain a master program/schedule across infrastructure-funded capital works projects Work closely with Project Managers to understand project timelines, dependencies, and delivery constraints Consolidate project scheduling data into central reporting tools to support monthly pipeline and program reporting Analyse program-level impacts including resource loading, capacity constraints, and competing priorities Support informed decision-making by identifying scheduling risks, delivery impacts, and opportunities for reprioritisation Engage with stakeholders across the PMO and broader Property and Facilities teams to ensure alignment and data integrity About UQ As part of the UQ community, you will have the opportunity to work alongside the brightest minds, who have joined us from all over the world. While you may have a background in project management, your strength lies in program-level scheduling, time management, and coordination rather than end-to-end project delivery. You will have: Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in Project Management, Construction, Design, Engineering, or a related discipline Demonstrated experience in scheduling and program coordination within capital works, construction, or infrastructure environments Strong understanding of project and program scheduling principles Experience using scheduling software such as MS Project and or Primavera P6 Ability to interpret and consolidate information from multiple projects into clear, structured reporting Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams Appointment to this role is subject to the successful completion of relevant pre-employment checks, which may include verification of the right to work in Australia, qualifications, criminal history checks, and other role-specific requirements.
