**The Position**

With a comprehensive broadacre and horticultural field trial program located in South Australia, the business continues to expand in the region. Within the Field Biology Unit, a new team is being built with a focus on the old principles of data excellence combined with a strong team culture.

There is now the requirement for a **Field Biologist** to join the internal national research team covering the South Australian region. Reporting to the Field Biology Manager, you will be fully supported as you grow into your role. The role involves being accountable for conducting and reporting on crop protection field trials across herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, and abiotic stress products. This includes supporting the local sales team.

The role offers variety and flexibility, including working in the field and office, whilst liaising with a wide range of people across the agricultural industry.

**The Person**

To be successful in this practical technical role you will ideally possess:

- A positive attitude and genuine passion to be one of the best operators in this field
- At least 2 years' experience in conducting and reporting on a field trial program
- Technical crop agronomy experience
- Communication skills including attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in agricultural science

You will have the willingness to question basic concepts and look for new opportunities.

You may currently be an agronomist conducting field trials; you might be in a hands-on research/data position, or you might be in a production/farm leadership role and seeking an chance in innovative corporate agribusiness. Irrespective of your background, you will enjoy both autonomy and at times extensive travel within the region.
