The primary purpose of this position is to build a solid foundation of skills and understanding in the next generation of Metallurgists entering the mining industry. The role will gain exposure to our BIOX processing plant. The program focuses on developing technical expertise, practical skills, and professional competencies required to excel in the field of gold extraction and processing.
Reporting to the Lead Process Engineer, you will get exposure to:
- Operation of grinding, flotation, BIOX and leaching circuits.
- Sample preparation for assay
- Technical report writing and documentation
- Metallurgical accounting
- Reagent stocktakes
The successful candidate should possess the following:
- A recent or soon-to-be graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Mineral Processing, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or appropriate science discipline
- Demonstrated commitment to the safety of themselves and their peers
