Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting individuals with their daily living needs.
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing personal care support, including showering, toileting, dressing, and more. You will also administer medications, transfer individuals using hoists and slide sheets, and provide general assistance with mobility.
In addition to personal care support, you will also assist with domestic duties such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation. Community engagement is also an important aspect of this role, where you will accompany individuals to appointments, grocery shopping, or other social activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing personal care support, including bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming
* Administering medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
* Assisting with transfers using hoists and slide sheets
* Providing general assistance with mobility and ambulation
* Assisting with domestic duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
* Accompanying individuals to appointments, grocery shopping, or other social activities
