A professional allied health service that values providing client‐centred, evidence‐based assessments and interventions for clients. Services are offered in a range of settings, including home, school, daycare, remote areas of the Midwest, clinics, and via telehealth.
Your Next Director
A warm, approachable, and enthusiastic leader with over 20 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist working with children with developmental delays and disabilities. As a busy mom, she understands the importance of work‐life harmony and supports her team's growth.
Your New Role
This is a full‐time position, though part‐time may be considered. Newly graduated and experienced candidates are encouraged to apply. Hours will be varied according to service demands in consultation with the staff member. Professional development is encouraged and supported, and supervision is provided by an experienced clinician during work hours.
- Assess, develop and implement interventions and programmes for children and young adults with developmental delays and disabilities.
- Provide goal‐oriented plans with measurable outcomes.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on client progress.
- Work in a culturally sensitive manner.
- Service a varied, largely paediatric, caseload.
- Teach and support Allied Health Assistants.
- Work in a range of settings, including visits to remote areas of the Midwest, clinics, homes, schools, telehealth, childcare centres, and at the well‐resourced clinic.
- Maintain a manageable caseload and receive dedicated planning/administration time.
- Receive regular professional support and mentoring.
- Compensated with a competitive salary dependent on experience.
Your Profile
To succeed in this role, you will:
- Possess highly developed verbal communication skills and the ability to explain health and medical concepts to a broad audience.
- Have demonstrated experience in building and managing effective working relationships and networks.
- Show strong client and customer service skills, identifying and delivering on clients' needs.
- Hold high‐level organisational skills, prioritising workloads and meeting deadlines.
- Maintain professional competence and integrate new teachings and techniques into practice and service delivery.
In addition, you will:
- Be registered with Speech Pathology Australia or be due for registration.
- For overseas applicants, have completed a skills assessment in accordance with Speech Pathology Australia requirements.
- Be registered with Medicare or be eligible to register with Medicare for a Provider Number.
- Hold a Western Australian Working with Children Check and WA Department of Education provider screening/NDIS provider screening.
- Hold a C‐class driving licence.
