Right at Home Sydney Parramatta are seeking qualified, reliable and passionate Personal Care Workers to join our team in the Sydney Parramatta Region spanning from Parramatta to Bonnyrigg. The role requires a friendly, positive, and determined approach, with client-focused behaviour demonstrated through empathy, dignity, and respect. We are offering casual roles with a view to permanent part time for suitable candidates.
Responsibilities
* Work within a person-centered, enabling workplace that respects the rights and needs of each client
* Assist clients with personal hygiene, dressing, and domestic duties
* Assist clients with daily errands, companionship, and support
* Provide support with social and recreational activities
* Prepare food, feed clients, and assist with medication administration
* Observe, care for, and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client
* Respond to emergency situations
* Work weekend and overnight shifts as rostered
Qualifications
* Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability) or equivalent (Required)
* Current National Police Check (Required)
* Working With Children Check (Optional)
* Current First Aid & CPR certificates (Required)
* Current unrestricted driver's licence and your own well-maintained car
Core Caregiving Skills
* Personal care assistance (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
* Mobility support and safe lifting/transfers
* Medication reminders or assistance
* Meal preparation and nutrition support
* Basic housekeeping and hygiene maintenance
* Monitoring client wellbeing and reporting changes
Communication Skills
* Empathy and compassion
* Patience with elderly or disabled clients
* Ability to communicate with families and healthcare teams
